Performance methodology
Calculation rules and evidence limitations for the SlipBets performance record.
Units and stakes
Every pick is published with a stake in units, usually between 0.5u and 3u. A unit is a fixed share of a bankroll, so the record means the same thing whatever one unit is worth to you. Most bettors set one unit at 1–2% of their bankroll; the unit calculator works it out for yours.
Odds are recorded in decimal format. American odds convert as follows: +150 is 2.50 (150 ÷ 100 + 1) and −110 is 1.91 (100 ÷ 110 + 1).
Profit on a single pick
For a win, profit is the stake multiplied by decimal odds minus one. A loss deducts the stake. A push or a void returns the stake and produces zero profit.
- Win: 2u at 1.91 returns 2 × (1.91 − 1) = +1.82u
- Loss: 2u at 1.91 returns −2.00u
- Push or void: 2u at 1.91 returns 0.00u
Win rate
Win rate is wins divided by wins plus losses. Pushes, voids and pending picks are left out, because none of them was decided either way.
Example: 6 wins, 4 losses, 1 push and 1 void give a win rate of 6 ÷ (6 + 4) = 60%. With no wins and no losses yet, the win rate is shown as N/A.
ROI (yield)
ROI is total settled profit divided by the stakes on wins, losses and pushes. Voids and pending picks are excluded, since their stakes were never at risk.
Example with 1u on each pick at 1.91: 6 wins make +5.46u, 4 losses make −4.00u and the push makes 0.00u, so profit is +1.46u. Stakes at risk are 6 + 4 + 1 = 11u, so ROI is 1.46 ÷ 11 = +13.3%. The void adds nothing to either number.
Win rate alone says little: at average odds of 1.91 a pick has to win about 52.4% of the time (1 ÷ 1.91) just to break even. ROI and the number of settled picks together show whether a record is likely to be more than a short run of luck.
Publication and corrections
The public record shows the selections and latest outcomes stored in SlipBets. A displayed date is not independent proof that a selection was published before an event. This page does not provide a complete publication or correction history.
Historical records and provenance
Historical records may originate outside SlipBets. Unless a record includes identifiable source and original publication evidence, do not treat it as a verified pre-event SlipBets publication. Imported and native records are not separately verified by the aggregate statistics.
Settlement sources
Results reflect the settlement information stored in SlipBets. Aggregate statistics use the latest recorded settlement version; they are not an independent verification of the underlying event result. Consult the identified result source where one is supplied.
